The Planets
Performed by the Hills Shire Symphony Orchestra
The Hills Shire Symphony Orchestra is proud to present 'The Planets, Op. 32' - a seven-movement orchestral suite by the English composer Gustav Holst. It is sure to be an evening that is out of this world!

Holst's 'Planet's suite is beloved in Western classical repertoire. Featuring an exciting new arrangement from HSSO's very own conductor, Chris Upton, Sergei Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C-Sharp Minor, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien, the HSSO aims to present these incredible works in a new light and showcase a range of emotions and brilliant orchestration.
Guests are encouraged to arrive from 7 pm, where there will be an exhibition of Planets-inspired artwork from two local artists available for purchase. There will also be a 15-minute intermission between the two halves of the concert, where these artworks will be sold and supper will be served.
